Yesterday the world lost another great man - Nelson Hallock.
Nelson & his wife Connie knew me from the day I was born. They were long-time members of the Bristol & Williston SDA churches with my family, & they were like grandparents to my brother & I.
Connie & Nelson retired to TN just before I went down for college - God knew I needed that connection to home.
Many weekends were spent together reminiscing about Vermont, listening to them tell stories of New York City, giggling over inside jokes we had, & trying different restaurants in the area.
I will miss Nelson's laugh, him teasing Connie just to make her scold him in Italian, his stories...
