Our Babymoon

As the clock ticks down to the arrival of our precious Callicott Calf, we have been making plans and getting ready for this new and exciting chapter in our lives.

I have been imagining the snuggles and cuddles with my little Calf. 💚

I am looking forward to getting to know this little man or little lady that Abba has made from both Hubby and I...a little piece of each of us in a whole new person that He loves more than they will ever understand.

Those first few weeks are probably going to be some of the toughest I've ever experienced; but they are also going to be the beginning of something wonderful. 💛

As we have prepared for our little calf's arrival, we have decided that we need to ask you all a big favor:

Please give us some time post-delivery - at the hospital, as well as at home.

Just as there is a special time after a wedding to spend quality time with each other (honeymoon), so should there be some time after birth to spend with the new family addition (babymoon). 😊

We love all of you, our friends and family!

And because we love you, we want you all to meet our little heifer or bull. 😊

However, we have no idea how things are going to go.

Will delivery go well? How will I handle recovery? Will Baby have any health issues?

One things we do know is that labor and delivery is rough for all involved. We'll need to rest up.

Hubby's family will also be traveling a ways to visit us and meet the newest addition to the family. We want them to be able to bond with Baby before they need to go back South.

We know you mean well  - you just want to let us know that you've been thinking about us and meet our little heifer or bull - we appreciate you and your thoughtfulness! 💚

We will appreciate it just as much a week or so later. 😉

Please respect our privacy & allow us time to celebrate.

Rest assured that we will share photos and videos! ...after a nap...or several. 😉 😃

(If you would like us to text you updates, please make sure one of us has your number. 😊)

When we are ready for visitors...

- Please call or text first -

Between farm life and parents of a newborn, our lives will be kinda upside-down for a bit. 😉💚

- Please be considerate of Baby's health -

In the first weeks / months of life a baby's immune system is fragile.
(Thankfully they are born with something for an immune system, unlike cattle! But it's still not ready for everything the outside world can deal out.)

If you are feeling ill we hope that you get better soon!

In the case of illness, sharing is not caring.

We would love for you to come visit when you are well again! 😀

Thank-you for understanding! 💚
